Meteorology Sensors

Temperature Sensors
Air Temperature ICT International manufactures a range of "smart" temperature sensors for various environmental applications ranging from measurement of ambient conditions and crop temperature monitoring, to cattle comfort (heat stress) analysis.
Soil Temperature
Thermocouple Smart Interface The TT4 is a digital interface to allow connection of thermocouple temperature sensors to the SL5 SmartLogger.
Thermistor Smart Interface The TR4 is a digital interface to allow connection of thermistor temperature sensors to the SL5 Smart Logger. It provides a means of connecting up to four thermistors of the specified type to the system.
ECT Air and Soil Temperature Probe

The Temperature Sensor can measure both air temperature and soil temperature. It connects to any channel in a Decagon Datalogger for long-term temperature monitoring.

Supplied with 3m cable with 3.5mm jack plug.

Relative Humidity & Barometric Pressure Sensors
Relative Humidity The "smart" HU1 Relative Humidity Sensor by ICT International utilises an active polymer capacitor as a sensing element to provide reliable readings of relative humidity with minimum maintenance.
Combined Relative Humidity & Air Temperature The HT1 humidity and air temperature sensor combines the functions of the TA1 and HU1 sensors into one convenient dual-purpose housing.
Barometric Pressure ICT International has designed a reliable and stable Barometric Pressure Sensor (BP1) for environmental and meteorological monitoring applications.
RHT
Relative humidity and temperature sensor

RH/Temperature sensor measures relative humidity (RH) and temperature, making it ideal for use with ECH2O probes in studying microclimate and evapotranspiration.

Supplied with 3m cable with 3.5mm jack plug.

Wind Speed & Direction Sensors
Anemometer Used to monitor wind speed, wind run and wind gust, ICT International's range of 'smart' digital wind speed sensors combine robust design with accuracy and a low starting threshold for sensitivity in a wide range of operating conditions.
Wind Vane (Direction) Sensor The "smart" WD2 Wind Direction Sensor by ICT International overcomes the "deadband" problem associated with conventional potentiometer type wind direction sensors.

PYR

The pyranometer measures the solar radiation flux density (in watts per metre square) from a field of view of 180 degrees. This pyranometer is completely water proof, submersible, and designed for continuous outdoor use.

Supplied with with level plate, 3m cable, 3.5mm jack plug.

QSO-S

The PAR Photon Flux sensor measures the Photosynthetic Photon Flux (PPF) in μmol m-2 s-1 from a field of view of 180 degrees. It is completely water proof, submersible, and designed for continuous outdoor use.

Supplied with with level plate, 3m cable, 3.5mm jack plug.

Terrestrial Eldonet Dosimeter

The Terrestrial ELDONET instrument is a dosimeter which measures solar or artificial radiation in three biologically important spectral bands: UV-B, UV-A and PAR.

Terrestrial Autonomous
Eldonet Dosimeter

The Terrestrial autonomous ELDONET instrument is a dosimeter which measures solar or artificial radiation in three biologically important spectral bands: UV-B , UV-A and PAR .

The internal data logger can store up to 3 months of data. It is powered by an internal 12V solar battery (External solar panel is optional).

Solar Radiation (and optional Sunshine Hours)

Quantum PAR

The SR2 is a solar radiation shortwave (global) spectrum sensor with a spectral response from 400 to 950 nanometres, which is used to record sunshine hours or total incident solar energy. The PR1 Photosynthetic Active Radiation (PAR) sensor has a similar construction to the SR2 but with a spectral response range from 400 to 700 nanometres.
Rain Gauges & Pluviometers
ML1 Event Logger The ML1 is a one channel data logger specifically designed for recording rain fall events from tipping bucket rain gauges. Very low power consumption and a robust aluminium waterproof housing allow this logger to be deployed in the field for up to ten years in remote locations.
Research Rain Gauges The design of these rain gauges includes several features to maintain accuracy of measurement. The recording and tipping cycle continues with rainfall while fine stainless-steel mesh prevents debris such as dirt and insects from entering the workings of the rain gauge. Other features to ensure maintained accuracy include a level bubble adhered to the base.
Commercial Rain Gauges Simple self-emptying electronic rain gauges. Configured as volume gauges, they are useful for measuring the output of irrigation systems in terms of liters per hour.
Smart Logger Rain gauges ICT's 'smart' tipping bucket rain gauge can be used as
  • An integral component of the EnviroStation™ weather station
Commercial Pluviometers Simple self-emptying electronic rain gauges. Configured as volume gauges, they are useful for measuring the output of irrigation systems in terms of liters per hour. These rain gauges are connected to timed interval data loggers.
Research Pluviometers These pluviometers consist of a calibrated tipping bucket rain gauge and ML1 event data logger, offering a stand-alone measurement system suitable for any short or long term application. The TB3 has the highest specification of materials, construction and calibration. Rainfall events from the rain gauge are stored in memory, which can be downloaded to a laptop or desktop computer.
Field Calibration Unit for tipping bucket rain gauges The FCD is a light, portable device that allows field calibration tests. Using this instrument will save time in the field. The advantage of using a Field Calibration Device is that the Tipping Bucket Raingauges can remain fixed in their location and are therefore only out of service for a very short period of time.
Drainage Flow Measurement
Drainage Flow Measurement ICT's Flow Gauge is considered to be one of the most accurate flow gauges used for measuring water flow coming out of a pipe or a drain. When connected to a data logger, the data can be stored and collected when required.
Leaf Wetness Sensors
Leaf Wetness Sensor

Used with the Em50 logger system

LWS Brochure (140K PDF)

The Dielectric Leaf Wetness Sensor (LWS) enables accurate and affordable leaf wetness
monitoring. The Leaf Wetness Sensor determines the presence and duration of wetness on a leaffs surface, enabling researchers and producers to forecast disease
and protect plant canopies.
Leaf Wetness ICT International's LW2 and LWH leaf wetness sensors replicates the effect of moisture on leaf or artificial surfaces and can be used for a variety of situations such as leaf wetness, rain event or other applications where over-spray events need to be monitored or controlled.
Evaporation Pans
Class A Evaporation Pan APAN The Class A Evaporation Pan is a standard Bureau of Meteorology Class A type for measurement of water evaporation.
