Static cranes, also known as Tower Cranes, are the most common types of crane in use in the construction industry and are usually erected on a concrete foundation.

All static cranes should be fitted with anemometers or other wind speed monitoring devices. WINDCRANE™ is a robust solution that is 100% mobile so that it can be used on multiple sites within any time period. WINDCRANE™ accurately measures wind gust, average wind speeds and wind turbulence to IEC-61400 standards; and automatically delivers reports via GSM signals to our online data management web portal.

Users can view accurate, live wind measurements via mobile phone or PC with remote access for site and crane managers, with automatic custom alerts. WINDCRANE™ allows crane operators to make informed decisions on safe levels of operation which ensures that employees are safe and that operations comply with health and safety legislation at all times. This will minimise downtime and the historical data logs can be easily accessed in a convenient format to help settle downtime disputes and claims.


Wind speed and direction is measured with an anemometer and recorded using our WINDCRANE mobile wind data logger. The kit has two power options – mains power supply or solar panel battery pack. The wind data is remotely sent to our online data management web portal and dashboard display via GSM.

GSM provides the speediest, most reliable and efficient method of data transfer available with no limits on the operational range. Automatic alerts are sent out and users can retrieve and view their data via PC or mobile phone. Data is wirelessly transmitted over the mobile phone connection to the cloud with 24/7 backup. There are no cables, wireless transmitters and receivers involved, offering an efficient and reliable solution with no risk of hardware malfunction.
