ICT International Pluviometers and Rain Gauges
The stainless steel rain gauge measures rainfall amount and intensity.
Two models are available: SRG0 is a standard tipping bucket rain
gauge with 5m cable to connect to a data logger; the SRG1 is a
pluviometer with an internal event data logger. The SRG1 is
ideal for remote and long term monitoring of rain events.
- Constructed entirely of stainless steel.
- Rain enters the gauge through an 20cm orifice, protected by
distortion preventing aluminum ring.
- Collected water passes through the debris-filtering screen and is
funneled into one of two tipping buckets inside the gauge.
- When a given amount of water collects, the bucket tips.
(Tip of 0.2mm is standard).
- Tipping causes magnet to pass over proximity switch, closing it
momentarily.
- Second bucket positions under funnel for filling.
- After rain is measured, it exits through drain tubes with screen
covered holes in the base of the gauge.
- Designed for many years of accurate, trouble free operation.
- Stainless steel outer housing.
- Built in level indicator and pre-drilled feet.
ML1 Mini Log
The ML1 is an ideal one channel data logger for recording rain fall
events from tipping bucket rain gauges, pulses from water meters, or
other similar applications. Very low power consumption and a robust
aluminium waterproof housing allow this logger to be deployed in the
field for up to ten years in remote locations.
Events are stored in the memory, which can then be downloaded to a
PDA, laptop or desktop computer, using either WinComLog to
download and graph data, or HyperTerminal to download data for use
in Excel. An RS-232 serial port allows the direct connection of the
ML1 to a computer on site.
